چکیده

We study when classes can have the disjoint amalgamation property for a proper initial segment of cardinals. Theorem A. For every natural number k, there is a class Kk defined by a sentence in Lω1,ω that has no models of cardinality greater than ik+1, but Kk has the disjoint amalgamation property on models of cardinality less than or equal to אk−3 and has models of cardinality אk−1. More strongly, we can have disjoint amalgamation up to אα for α < ω1, but have a bound on size of models. Theorem B. For every countable ordinal α, there is a class Kα defined by a sentence in Lω1,ω that has no models of cardinality greater than iω1 , but K does have the disjoint amalgamation property on models of cardinality less than or equal to אα. Finally we show that, consistently with ZFC, we can extend the אα to iα in the second theorem. Similar results hold for arbitrary ordinal α with |α| = κ and Lκ+,ω. A sentence φ of Lω1,ω is said to characterize μ, if φ has a model of cardinality μ but no model in any larger cardinalities. There are a number of results [Mor65, Hjo07, Kni77, LS93, Sou] giving various examples that show (the one ∗Partially supported by NSF-0500841. †This is paper 927 in Shelah’s bibliography. A new spectrum of recursive models using an amalgamation construction

We employ an infinite-signature Hrushovski amalgamation construction to yield two results in Recursive Model Theory. The first result, that there exists a strongly minimal theory whose only recursively presentable models are the prime and saturated models, adds a new spectrum to the list of known possible spectra. The second result, that there exists a strongly minimal theory in a finite langua...

Disjoint Amalgamation in Locally Finite AEC

We introduce the concept of a locally finite abstract elementary class and develop the theory of excellence (with respect to disjoint ( , k)-amalgamation) for such classes. From this we find a family of complete L!1,! sentences r that a) homogeneously characterizes @r (improving results of Hjorth [12] and Laskowski-Shelah [14] and answering a question of [22]), while b) the r provide the first...

Comparative studies of extraction chromatography and electro-amalgamation separation to produce no-carrier added 177Lu by Tehran research reactor

Introduction:Owing to its favorable radionuclidic characteristics, such as tl/2 = 6.73 day and Eβ (max) = 497 keV and ease of its large-scale production using medium flux research reactors, lutetium-177 (177Lu) is an attractive radionuclide for various therapeutic applications. No carrier added (NCA) 177Lu was obtained by thermal neut...
